Pulsed Universal Magnetron Modulator
ETM developed this self-contained high voltage solid-state switch to drive high power magnetrons used in EMI, EMC and HIRF testing. Pulse durations and amplitudes are fully programmable, with remarkably fast rise and fall times. Fall times are accelerated with a fast discharge circuit.
• Rise time and fall time < 165 nsec
• Voltage programmable from – 10kV to – 40 kV, current up to 65A
• Up to 1.3MW of peak beam power and 4.5kW of average power
The pulse durations used to drive the magnetrons are programmable from 0.3 to 10 microseconds, with excellent flatness and minimal droop. Pulse settings for up to 10 magnetrons are stored in system memory and recalled upon recognition by replaceable magnetron interface assemblies.
